Ryan, Tina and Kolbee's Family Portraits at Holmes Lake

It's great to be able to say that I haven't had time to write on my photo blog because I've been so busy, well, being a photographer.  I've been taking photos for a church directory, trying to work with a web designer to create a website for my photos, and shuffling around a few photo shoots as well (at least trying to, because the weather has been so crummy). The one I'd like to share with you today was a lot of fun -- and exhausting!  Small children are delightful to shoot -- but they can be challenging.

Oh, and I sat in a mud puddle while trying to get a shot. Fortunately I had a sweatshirt to tie around my waist, so I looked even cooler than usual. :)

It was hard to choose favorites! This family was a lot of fun, having all the necessary qualities for a successful photo shoot: they were active, affectionate AND photogenic.  The ultimate trifecta.

This one also ranks in my absolute favorites. I love the way her baby-fine hair just gleams in the sun.

This was the story of the day: Kolbee running away, Mom and Dad chasing after her. :) Here she is veering to avoid me.

I love her little chubby fists...

And a couple of Ryan and Tina to end the day. We had to get Kolbee in her carseat to take these...'cause we knew she'd escape otherwise!

Thanks for looking!

thanks Mom and Dad. :) It'll be a while before I get a new camera, but when I do, it will go very well with the awesome lens I got for graduation! ;)
