Erik and Molly's Wedding Photos at Lincoln's State Capitol

I'm so excited to show you these photos from Molly and Erik's recent wedding in the Rotunda of the State Capitol! Molly and I both work in this beautiful building.  The Rotunda is an awe-inspiring place to be married. Not unlike a those of a church, the towering ceiling and sandy stone walls evoke somber and weighty thoughts.
The light poured in from hundreds of feet above as Erik and Molly's small group of family and close friends surrounded them.  Their ceremony was brief, intimate and very meaningful.

See the little guy covering his eyes?  LOVE it.  This was a little surprise I noticed when going over the pictures for the second or third time!

I loved being able to get a photo of the ENTIRE wedding -- including all the guests! This was the smallest wedding I've done, and it was definitely an honor, as well as a lot of fun.  Thanks so much, Erik and Molly!

Thanks so much, everyone for looking at my photography (and checking out those links too)!  It's really such a blessing to have others look at my photos and appreciate them too.  I feel so lucky to be able to do all of this!

The exposure on these is so great - it looks as if the lighting wasn't ideal, yet these are so sharp and clear. LOVE the shot of the flowers by the window; the color just jumps out of the picture. :)

Thanks Renae! The light was pretty good, but very uneven - lots of hard light shifts and changes. Glad you like the flower one - it's one of my favorites too. :) Thanks for your comment!

Thanks for the blog love Nikki! I just love your BW conversions...it ads so much to the journalism approach on your wedding images. They are gorgeous! Our state capitol is so beautiful, you really captured the essence of it's architecture!
